Balloon Rally & Glow

Venue: Friday Night: Balloon Glows held at the City Square on the 400 Block in Downtown Wausau and the Wausau Municipal Airport. All other activities throughout the weekend are held at the Wausau Municipal Airport. Click for Schedule of Events.
Seating: This festival encourages you to bring your chairs and blankets to sit and enjoy the beautiful balloons and other activities.
Parking: Handicap Parking is available in the Wausau Municipal Airport parking lot. Street parking is available.
Shuttle Service: New for 2008! On Saturday, July 12th park in Downtown Wausau, enjoy Chalkfest and Sidewalk Sales and hop the bus located in front of the Grand Theatre to the Wausau Municipal Airport. More details to follow. Sunday, July 13th Shuttle Service details to follow.
Carry-ins: Absolutely no carry-ins of food or drinks is allowed, but coolers with ice are allowed to store beverages purchased from the festival.
City Life: Downtown Wausau offers plenty of Restaurants, Pubs and Shopping; check out www.wausauriverdistrict.com for more details.

Camping:
Rib Mountain State Park
Location: Four miles southwest of Wausau on Rib Mountain Drive.

Services: 30 Sites (primitive) Children's
Playground, Picnic Area, Hiking Trails. Open mid April - late October. No reservations.
Marathon Park (County)
Location: Stewart Avenue, Wausau.
Services: 35 Sites (most have electric) Dumping Station, Showers, Flush Toilets, Water, Picnic Area, Concession Area, Wading Pool, Hiking Trails. The campground is open May through October. Campground reservation phone number is (715) 261-1566.
