VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTIONS
SUMMER KICK-OFF June 12
- Set-up: Help set up pop-up tents, banners, distribute garbage cans
- Take-down: Dismantle tents, banners, clean-up garbage
EXHIBITOUR May 15 & September 19
- Host Gallery post: Verifying wristbands inside Host Gallery
BLUES FEST August 14-15
- Bartending: Stationed at one of four bars to distribute beverages
- Wrist Banding: ID & Wristband attendees
- Beer Ticket Sales: Selling of beer tickets
- Roam/Fill In: Filling in wherever needed
- Set-Up: Setting up pop-up tents, banners, trailer, etc.
- Take-Down: Taking down tents, etc.
BALLOON RALLY July 9-12
- Bartending: Stationed at the bar to distribute beverages
- Safety Line Crew: Stationed at the line between the crowds and balloons (25 volunteers)
- Chase Crew: Assist balloonists by following the balloons to drive the balloonists back to the event (To be determined by pilot needs)
- Grounds Crew: Assist balloonists with the set-up of the balloons. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs - can be strenuous work. (To be determined by pilot needs)
- Volunteer/Info Tent: Assist with checking volunteers in, distribute shirts, and answer attendee questions
- Set up: Assist with the production of the event 1-2 days prior (assist with tents, garbage cans, banners, etc.)
- Take down: Breaking down of the event (tents, banners, garbage cans, etc.)
HARVEST FEST September 19
- Set up/Takedown: Assist with set up and takedown of the event (banners, tents, garbage)
- Kids Craft area: oversee the children’s area, keeping supplies full, etc.
- Pumpkin Patch: Assist with the distribution and entry into the pumpkin patch
- Scarecrow Decoration: Assist with the distribution of scarecrow materials, etc.
Please note: Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted by Wausau Area Events with specific shift information and additional information regarding the event(s) you have chosen.
By submitting the Volunteer application, volunteer agrees to bear full responsibility and full liability for any and all damage or injury which might result from volunteering at any Wausau Area Events, Inc. events. Volunteer also releases and agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the staff and directors of Wausau Area Events, event sponsors and their insurance carriers from any and all claims, actions or damages without any limitation whatsoever, whether consisting of personal injury and/or property damage that results in any way from any act of the volunteer while attending or volunteering any Wausau Area Events, Inc. events.
